About KT- Personal Training & Weight Room Orientation

KT-Training & Fitness Over 50 offers 'mature' adults fitness classes, personal training, and weight room orientation in Seacoast, New Hampshire. Owned by Katy Brandin, KT- Fitness classes include warm-ups, balance, mobility, flexibility, and either strength training or cardiovascular exercise, all tailored to the physiology of adults over fifty years of age.

Katy Brandin, a certified Senior Fitness Group Instructor and Personal Trainer, holds certifications in Spin, Stability Ball, Body-Flex, Step, and BOSU, and multiple aspects of Senior Fitness. With over 35+ years of teaching all aspects of fitness, Katy also coached extensively at both the middle and high school levels. Coaching male and female teams in various sports over the past four decades, Katy understands the psychology of motivation, discipline, and sport-specific training. A mentor teacher in Secondary English Education and holding a Master's Degree in Teaching, Katy's joy in sharing her passions, whether literature and writing or exercise and sports, is conveyed in both her group classes and personal training sessions. Living with a dysfunctional immune system and lung disease, she understands the battles many individuals face to exercise, let alone 'get to the gym'. Her unique health issues provide her with some insight into those who also struggle to maintain good health and nutrition, and she hopes such understanding aids her motivational skills and engagement with her clients.

Katy limits her training clients, ensuring they receive individualized plans tailored to their unique needs, benefitting from her total commitment and passion for their progress. Believing that a client's needs should dictate the number of training sessions rather than the trainer's desire to 'lock in payment', Katy's initial 'meet & greet' session includes a thorough discussion of the client's fitness goals, medical history, and any physical or medical issues. An assessment of the client's physical fitness is conducted to determine the number of sessions required to achieve their goals.

Weight Room Orientation: an hour session instructing the use and purpose of the various machines, barbells, and dumbbell options available-- an option for those not seeking personal training.

Cancellation Policy: With 24-hour notice, no charge. Within 24 hours, the client pays for a full session. Should multiple cancellations occur, Katy reserves the right to discontinue training sessions.

Training Fee: $75.00/hour per individual

Weight Room Orientation: $35.00/per individual, $50.00 per couple
